Our suppliers

Our approach is to take the freshest, in-season produce that we can find and prepare for you in essentially quite simple ways that bring out the best flavours of all the ingredients. In sourcing our food suppliers our aim is to find the best quality, ideally from a local or regional supplier, whilst being considerate about the food - miles travelled too. Here are some of our favourites.

Cryer & Stott
A small family cheesemongers based in West Yorkshire which has been named in the top 15 cheese merchants by The Independent newspaper and Business of the Year by the Regional Food Group for Yorkshire & Humberside.

Dumouchel's
Nationally recognised award-winning bread, taking gold, silver and bronze in the Guild of Fine Food Retailers 'Great Taste Awards 2006'. Thierry Dumouchel is a talented pastry chef and baker from Normandy who now lives and works in Yorkshire.

Lishman's of Ilkley
5 times winner of The Great Yorkshire Sausage Championship, Champion of Champions (British) and voted the best independent butcher of Great Britain in 2002.

Lowna Dairy
The gently rolling hills of East Yorkshire are home to the Lowna herd of milk-producing goats. Tom and Tricia hand make their cheeses in small batches at the Lowna Dairy and each goats cheese is fresh and distinctively finished with flavours varying with the changing seasons.

Bleikers Smokehouse
A thriving family business in Harrogate where a number of products have received coveted accolades at the Guild of Fine Food Retailers’ Great Taste Awards.

Holme Farm Venison
Holme Farm Venison in Yorkshire is an award winning Deer farm providing fantastic quality produce to The Restaurant. The Deer are reared naturally, grazing on grass pastures, guaranteeing a beautifully flavoured lean and tender red meat.
